A shell of its former burger glory, Shake Shack in Madison Park has been practically torn down for its upcoming renovation

Don’t be sad, burgers will be served to the hungry masses again come springtime.

If we didn’t know a rebirth was coming, we would have shed bitter tears upon seeing the photos circulating on Twitter of the completely desolate and gutted original Shake Shack location in Madison Square Park. Fortunately, we know that the photo of the empty shack building that used to house New York’s favorite burger will be coming back in the spring, completely renovated.

During the renovation, the kitchen prep area and storage space will be expanded, and overall, just four square feet will be added to the original Shake Shack location. Shake Shack representatives have confirmed that the new building, when it re-opens, will not intrude further into Madison Square Park. In addition, all of the Shake Shack seating will remain outside.

If you’re really hankering for a great burger, and you happen to be in the Flatiron District, we recommend heading out to New York Burger & Co where you can get interesting burger creations named after New York neighborhoods, or the juicy and simple selections from Clarke’s Standard.

Fast Food Hot Dogs, Ranked Worst To Best

Hot dogs are the star of the show at backyard cookouts, summer get-togethers, and pretty much any time a grill is brought out. There's just nothing like biting into a dog that's loaded with all your favorite toppings, whether you like to keep it basic with ketchup and mustard or you crave the completely filled Chicago dog. When it comes to national fast food chains, though, the hot dog can sometimes come as an afterthought compared to the chicken sandwiches, burgers, and secret menu orders. Yet true fast food fans know that hot dogs shouldn't be left by the wayside.

While hot dogs aren't the ubiquitous menu item that burgers are, there are plenty of respectable hot dog options out there from famous famously cheap eateries like Costco and Sonic. In many fast food cases, the hot dog is topped with chili. The variations available are all part of the fun. Fast food hot dogs are customizable and can please a multitude of appetites — if you order from the right place. These are the best choices ranked from worst to best, with supermarket food court options thrown in as well because they are indeed fast (and also delicious).
