New bakeable Kit Kats used as pizza toppings at Japanese chains

Napoli Pizza's sweet new offering is topped with custard-flavored Kit Kats, mango, nuts, Gorgonzola cheese, and maple-honey sauce.

Japan loves Kit Kats, and people have even been willing to wait in line to get their hands on Nestle Japan’s new bakeable Kit Kats, which are new, specialty Kit Kats that are designed to be popped in a toaster for two minutes to get a nice, crispy, caramelized sugar exterior. Now some pizza chains have taken the new Kit Kat technology and applied it to pizza.

According to Rocket News 24, several pizza chains around Japan have rolled out a limited-time offering of a pizza toped with the new, custard-flavored, baked mini Kit Kats. The baked Kit Kat pizzas will be part of the menu at the Napoli no Kama and Strawberry Cones pizza chains.

Napoli no Kama’s pizza is a Kit Kat and mango sweet pizza, which sells for $16 for a medium sized pizza. It’s topped with pudding-flavored bakeable Kit Kats, mango slices, mixed nuts, Gorgonzola cheese, and a honey maple sauce. Despite being covered in fruit and candy, it’s marketed as a “sweet pizza for adults.”
